24 Day 8

So this Sunday starts the 2 day/4 hr season premier of 24, 2 hrs Sunday and ditto on Monday. I know we've had some issues with the last couple seasons- were there people who quit watching the season or did everyone stick with it? Anyone who previously watched who isn't going to bother this time?

I haven't read anything about the show- all I know is Freddie Prinze Jr is in, it takes place in NYC and Jack's a grandpa. Returning for sure are Jack (AM DUR), Chloe, Jill Bauer & President Awful.

I'm always hopeful with a new season, dunno how many days this show's got left- probably for the best if they end it this season or next.

I dropped out halfways through Season 7. Won't be watching this year. Maybe get back into it when it's off the air and I can go through the later DVD's.

Who is Jill Bauer? They actually have their characters named Jack and Jill? I stopped watching two seasons ago, just didn't have the time to commit.

No it's the internet's stupid name for the female FBI agent, Rennee Walker. She's not worthy of the name Bauer.

Starts next week over here. Looking forward to it. Got Mrs Hun into Season 7. Glad I didn't get her into it in the abortion of 6, obviously.

So, I'll be watching, but not commenting.

I've watched every season, and 7 was a definite step up from season 6. Just hope they can figure out something good to do with the Prez. Good actress and all but the character was all over the place with her storyline last year and it hurt the character. Will be watching tonight.

Oh... i'll watch. Tons of bitching about the show... but it still delivers some good tension most of the time... obviously past its peak but still usually enjoyable.

The last one I watched all season was the one with Farmer Hoggett as Jack's dad.

That was the shit season, although he was pretty great in that role. Season wasn't his fault.

I love being on West Coast time cause live events are moved back.

Right now I'm watching the football game, then the Golden Globes, then 24. Lazy fucking day for me.

But seriously, not liking this new season so far. Everything from the set design to the actors, everything looks too pretty and not enough grit. It's looking too much like CSI and that's a bad thing. Plus all the cool new technology has made this show too sci-fi.

And Freddy Prinze Jr's acting is sooo wooden. Hope they kill him off soon. Oh, and also hate the stalker subplot that has nothing to do with the main plot. Reeks too much of Kim's subplot in season 2.

They seriously need to bring Tony back.
