Not really hot stove, but Andre Dawson gets elected to the HOF. Bert Blyleven missed it by 5 votes. Roberto Alomar missed out by 8.

What's totally funny is about 20 minutes before they made the announcements on ESPNews, Tim Kerkjan(sp?) said the only lock this year was Alomar.

I thought Alomar was a sure thing. He was the first player I ever had a baseball jersey for. Better luck next year hopefully.

I assume Dawson is going in as a Cub, right? He played even years with both them and the Expos.

That's tough. He was awfully good in Montreal also and was there a lot longer. Best year was as a Cub though.

It's up to the Hall because the expansion teams like the Rays were offering bonuses to Wade Boggs and Jose Canseco if they would be inducted as Rays. Who do you put Randy Johnson in with? He had his most success as a DBack but he could also go in as a Mariner.
