Mikey says he's taking the week off but will be back with a 10-0 next Saturday. My NFL's coming in the morning.

Last week: 4-4-3
YTD: 16-13-3 (55%)

Indy -9.5 (they always own Denver right Mikey?)
Detroit +2.5 (this is going to bite me on the ass, least confident pick)
Tampa +3 (give me the points, it's David Carr time, probably)
Arizona+6.5 (garbage time reverse running up the score plz)
Oakland+4 (Culpepper revenge game special)
Dallas-13.5 (I don't see how a QB with broken ribs keeps up with Dallas)

I was tempted with Atlanta+3.5, and Cleveland+4 but I'll give them a miss today. Prop bet time, if your book has Jamal Lewis (Cleveland Browns if you didn't know) to score a TD at anytime for 2.5ish, GET ON. Like he won't pile in from 4 yards with about 5 tacklers stuck to his leg at some point today.

Good luck.

For Hun, my top bets (although they were 0-1-2 last week) would be, well I don't know. I can't see any certs. Maybe Dallas 1, and Indy 2.

Yeah but I'll state again, 13 of the Colts last 19 games have been decided by 7 or less, which leads the NFL.

Oh they have too many close games, but just not against Denver in the dome. They've put up 40+ on them the last 2 times they've played at home v Denver and even got 34 in an outright win in Denver last year. I'm insane and biased but I can see a big win today.

BTW, cool site for anybody who wants to look up past meetings and results of points totals and spread results. Of course you need more info when betting but it's always a fun place to look at their database. http://www.atsdatabase.com

The Colts are the easiest team to gamble on. Vegas always gives them extra points because of the offensive stereotype but again 13 of their last 19 are by 7 or less. Pretty much all of those games have atleast a -6 line for Indy. Last week they were playing a 2-0 division rival on the road. Week before that it was at Tennessee, they didn't cover either game.

But yes, they do rape Denver.

I can't believe this Jets/Bills game. I teased the over down 13 points as part of a teaser, and it's still 0-0 late in the 3rd quarter.

Edit: Well that certainly blew up in a hurry. Yay, my over/under teaser accumulator won. Now if the Pack can just hold this lead...

Get a little nervous with that late fourth quarter fumble?

I don't understand why they kept rushing as much as they did. Like there's some point where he forgets, "Wait a minute, I'm Brett Favre." A wild game, and a great way to end my Sunday afternoon.

Good job on Tucho for crushing this week's picks, too.

Hey, why'd everything get moved to npp?

Couldn't even watch most of the game

The owners of Insert Label basically were never around, and never did anything with the forums, and once the year was up, the hosting(paid for by the community) would expire and the owners didn't want anything to do with it. Also one of them, despite never being around the boards, made decisions that HE wanted but weren't good for the boards(like keeping a certain member banned). So I took over again and we jumped ship before emo boy had a tantrum and deleted the forums.

How's Monday night looking to you all? The Bodog spread is a little high (New England -8.5) for the game, so I'm adding on an over/under (54) and teasing it down. The result... a 3 Unit bet on:

New England Patriots (-2.5) over Cincinnati with
OVER 48

Anyone else betting differently?

Sports Bot sees the line at exactly -8.5, and O/U at 49, so no real value in either of those. I'll be going for a fun bet on the Pats.

6-0. 6-0. 6-0

Even the two bets I was tempted by but didn't go with went 2-0, then not to mention the Lewis Prop bet.

That makes up for the baseball Scotsman? You should joing me and Gamblor in pwning the NFL sometime.

Interesting prop bet for tonight. Bodog is offering 10-1 that Ben Watson will score the first touchdown of the Pats/Bengals game. Brady loves throwing to Watson, and I think it's good value.

First TD market is like first goalscorer for soccer. Hardly ever worth it.

No official bets tonight, but I wouldn't be suprised if the under total wins. It may be the Hun in me talking, but 52.5 on betfair for a 2.1 price seems rather high. If Patriots score in the 30s as usual, Cincinatti will need to score 20ish for the over to win. But they're without their feature RB. So they have to pass to keep up? Like the Patriots won't drop 7 and double cover Chad and TJ wherever possible? The Pats absolutely shutdown this offense in a statement game after trash talk from the "best receiving combo in the league" (yeah right) last year. I'd put the Bengals game total at 14. 17 if I'm generous.

If all other reasoning fails, just go against the public opinion and journalists telling you to get ready for a MNF shootout. Like Vegas haven't put an extra few points on your sportsbook for the total?
