The Awards season has started in earnest. Or should that be the "Whoring for Awards Season"?
http://www.awardsdaily.com/FYC/gallery/ That's a collection of a bunch of "For Your Consideration" ads for a bunch of movies that are supposedly awards contenders. When I look at the Dark Knight poster, I think they've either deliberately attempted to split the vote on Best Supporting Actor just in case Heath Ledger doesn't get recognised, or they've grossly misjudged how much of that movie he was in. Personally, I would have put Ledger in the Best Actor category.

There's a new parody movie out next year. I use to love parody movies but ever since the producers of Epic Movie and Meet the Spartans started making them, I've been sick of them.Anyway, this one has the return of the Wayans Brothers and it looks pretty good:

Does anybody honestly think Maggie Gyllenhaal will be nominated for anything other than a Spacey/Saturn/any other sci-fi award? Why waste font on that shit? And Heath should be best actor, although maybe they figure the Academy won't go "That guy from 10 Things died? Awww, let's give him an Oscar for best actor!" but they'll go that far for supporting actor.

I read somewhere that they put him in for best support as he's got a better shot then best actor, I forget who they said he'd be up against there.
