Last week saw my biggest gain yet, as I managed to cut the lead down on Nateeasy to just 4734 points. Considering he started almost 10k points ahead of me, and then I had to take a break so he got 9k ahead of me again, I think that was pretty damn impressive.
With 10 weeks left in the challenge, it’s going to be interesting to see what happens. Let’s see how I did this week:
Frontlines Fuel of War: Last week I was at 35g for this one. I played a couple of multiplayer games for achievements, and did a few things like killing 100 hostiles without dying in story mode. However I got bored of this game and frustrated, so I quit after the 4th mission. I may go back to it some day, however I ended up at 420g for it, which isn’t too shabby.
Harry Potter – Order of the Phoenix: Bought this game for Mason for his birthday, but he did really good in school so I decided to give it to him early. We got an achievement for going to Hogwarts for 20g and that’s it. Honestly the achievements for this game suck, and this game sucks too, so I don’t see many gamerscore points coming for this one.
WWE Legends of Wrestlemania: Boy, did I ever fucking hate this game. Seriously – it’s such an awesome concept, and they absolutely BUTCHERED the engine. Retarded. The Relive/Rewrite etc options though were neat, especially the video packages beforehand. Anyway I raped this game for achievements, getting 1000.
The Simpsons Game: Me and Mason went through and beat this again. Of course no achievements for that. I did the Day of the Dolphin time challenge for 5g though. Wheee.
Smackdown vs RAW 2009: I had rented this before. After playing Legends I was in the mood for a good wrestling game so rented it again, and boy was I pissed at how bad it was. After 2 matches I remembered why I hated it so much. Unfortunately it was raining down on Saturday and I couldn’t be bothered going out, so I went to Road to Wrestlemania to finish the Mysterio & Batista story, and then the CM Punk story. This was VERY frustrating. One Mysterio/Batista match you have to let Batista get pinned, and it took over 45 minutes for that to happen, as the stupid AI just never pinned him, or he kicked out despite being hit with 600 finishers. It was all worth it through when I got 390g for the whole thing, and add a few more on top of that and I returned this game with 680g gamerscore.
The Bigs: Was at the local library which has video games, and they had this so decided to get it. Not too bad at all, bit of a fun game although I do hate baseball. I played like one game and got a ton of achievements for 125g. Will probably play this a bit more today before I return it.
This Week: That’s all for last week. This week I have started to go through Gears of War 2 on Insane with Risto. I also rented Ninja Gaiden 2(which is meant to be an uber difficult game). I’m also in the mood for arcade games and spent 2 hours yesterday downloading almost every arcade demo, so I may end up buying a few of those.
Scores:
(1) nateeasy (60815)
(2) Scotsman (57856)
And just like that, we’ve slipped under the 3000 mark. The difference between is now is just 2959 gamerscore points. Here is a chart that shows the difference between us:

Finally as I got 1000 in yet another game, I decided to make a pie chart to show games that are 1000, games that are above 500 but not 1000, and games below 500. This does not include arcade games.

For the record that’s 16 games at 1000, 52 games at 500-999g and an amazing 44 games below 500.

sweet charts, congrats on your gs.
3d pie chart next week please, lets take this to the next level
More charts, less text.
And get the chart king to make them.
Harry Potter - Order of the Phoenix: Bought this game for Mason for his birthday, but he did really good in school so I decided to give it to him early. We got an achievement for going to Hogwarts for 20g and that's it. Honestly the achievements for this game suck, and this game sucks too, so I don't see many gamerscore points coming for this one.
I believe you are thinking of Harry and the Half-Blood Prince. The ones in this one are notoriously difficult, plus a glitched achievement where if you beat it on hard it usually doesn't unlock.
No, according to here Order of the Phoenix is an easy 1000, in the 10-15 hours category. Granted their definition of easy may differ from other people, there are a few they list as easy 1000 that I can't get past 200 on, lol.
lol at the graphs and charts
Good work. Amazed you get more points in a week than I have ever.
