Well after a pitiful month and a half when it came to the old gamerscore, I finally managed to get back on track with a decent week this week.
While I’ve not taken over nateeasy yet, I did manage to hit the 60k gamerscore mark which is good, and managed to cut down nateeasys lead just a bit.
I did have one embarassing adventure with a video game this week however, and we’ll get that out of the way first….
Chronicles of Riddick: This is sad to admit, but this game was just too fucking hard for me. I found rust and killed him, found the Butcher Bay main frame and….that’s it. I basically never even made it 1/8th throughout the game, because it was just too fucking difficult and I gave up after hours of frustration and me just sucking ass. I may go back and revisit this game again – but man, it was too hard. I feel so sad.
Left 4 Dead: Played this a bit with Taff, and managed to get the achievements for killing 10 smokers, healing 25 survivors and giving pain pills to 10 survivors. Over the 500 mark for this one now, and hopefully can rack up some more points in it over the coming weeks.
Cars Mater-National: For those who don’t remember, the original Cars game was my arch nemesis. Well when I saw this game was just $9.99 AND had Monsters Inc characters in it, I knew I had to get it for Mason, and I knew I would have to do battle with it again. This time I’m going through it on the hardest skill level too, just to prove to this shitty franchise that I am better than it. FUCK YOU CARS. I managed to get an achievement already – High Draulics for 75g, and more to come as I RAPE this game in the coming weeks.
Modern Warfare 2: Finally got round to playing this. Just did special ops with Risto, but I got 5 achievements in the process, getting over 8 stars in special ops, killing 2 enemies with a single bullet etc. 80g for this one. Special Ops on co-op is a fucking blast.
Ben 10: Masons birthday present, and we completed Bellwood for the Protector of Earth achievement for 30g.
The Godfather 2: Started playing this one again. Killed 250 mobsters, got all execution styles and control three crime rings. At 325 of 1000 or 21 of 41 achievements, and I expect to 1K it before the week is out.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince: Beat this game, and got a ton of achievements in the process. Bunch of badges, crest collector shit etc. Got 560 points total.
NCAA Basketball 2009: Got every offline achievement except win 30 games in 3 consecutive seasons. Finished it at 700 points out of 1000. Kind of a crappy game.
Current Scores:
1: nateeasy (62,865)
2: Scotsman (60,411)
So the current gap is at 2454 now, the shortest it has ever been. I’m closing in on you motherfucker.

I canceled Gamefly, so I won't be playing Hannah Montana anytime soon. The only games I will be playing is Borderlands, DragonAge and 5th Grader.
Borderlands After I finish my playthru I think I will have around 750GS/1125. Currently have 295GS with 20 of the 55 achievements unlocked.
DragonAge Orgins: I have 2 hours in and have unlocked 2-3 Achievements for something around 50GS. I heard this game was pretty epic. 70+hour playthrus. I may not even be able to beat it once before the new year.
5th Grader: 5th grader achievements are pretty simple, but the online ones are hard to get. No one is ever online. Currently have 525/1000 and 19 of 30 achievements.
You almost sound like you are conceding defeat.
you sound pretty gutted to hear that
I was hoping for a challenge. But like that pussy faggot Brando before him - another one falls at the knees of the Scotsman.
lol brando sucked u off
Took a lot of coaxing though, as he hadn't ever sucked anyone off that was bigger than 1 inch.
It looked like it was all over before Nate posted, although there's not long left in the year, it's only four weeks till Christmas.
Well my 360 is shitting up tonight so who knows maybe it will die. The only chance nateeasy has if that is the case.
If that's all the games Nate has he's going to make, best case, 2500g? So can you make, say to be safe, 5k in four weeks?
Is your goal just to pass me or pass and stay ahead?
I lied and actually ended up picking up two games. The new Scene it? and Lego Indiana Jones 2. Apparently the new Scene it? is not nearly as good as the last one. No avatar support or online which were both in the previous game. It was only $25 on amazon so I picked it up. I got Lego because I had a 40$ off game coupon which had to be used by the end of the year. I see you have been playing it. How is it?
I'm still very nervous about scots catching me. Seeing that he has already gained 1300 since posting this week's challenge. If shit gets desperate I may try to whore You're in the movies some.
I guess pass you is the main thing, but passing and staying ahead would be the cherry on the top.

The New Scene It looks AWFUL. Totally looks like they have butchered that series. Also got Lego Indy 2 - not enjoying it that much. So far nowhere near as fun as the last ones, I don't like the layout etc. But I haven't really spend much time with it.
FYI I have You're in the Movies too
I got Lego Indy 2 too, I'm enjoying it, the only problem really is that the main focus is the shitty 4th movie, haven't done the other 3 yet, wanted to get the 4th out of the way first.
It's pretty buggy though. In the first hub one of the treasure chests just wouldn't appear even though I had 10/10. I was redoing levels and nothing. Looked it up and it seems like a common problem. People suggested redoing the levels and if the treasure chest in it wasn't flashing, that's your problem one so just pick it up. Didn't work for me though. Tried solution two, which was finishing a level then turning off the 360, going back in and it had appeared.
On the third hub it kept continually freezing too. Had it installed to the hard drive with like 8 gig free, deleted something to free up 14 and it hasn't crashed since then.
Do they just re-hash the first 3 from the first game? Whole game seems like a pointless cash grab.
Haven't played the first 3 yet, wanted to get Crystal Skull out of the way as I like the originals more.
It's not like the previous games. Each movie has a hub, which is areas from the movie in which the story missions lay. There's no blocks or anything in the levels, they are just the story. After the story you can redo that mission in treasure mode, which is a different layout of the theme where the goal is to find a treasure chest. Finding 10 in each hub, you build a vehicular which takes you to a final bonus level.
The red blocks from the previous games are all found in the hubs. You smash stuff to find them for the most part. Vehicles and characters are all bought in these hubs. You'll see a race line on somewhere, go close to it and it'll tell you what vehicle you need. You buy it and take it to the line and a little race begins, and that will unlock another vehicle or person to buy.
So to put it in perspective, the original movies have one hub each, whereas Crystal Skull has three.
The game isn't bad, I think you'll like it if you're a fan of the series, just don't expect anything to revolutionary. Everything is a lot more straight forward now, you don't really have to search things out as much, the only trouble you might have is finding bonus levels in the hub or the last couple blocks or unlocks.
Plus Indy dances when you finish a hub and it makes me smile.
From what I read the first 3 movie levels are new. They may be based on the same scene from the movie but they changed it a bunch or something. I was either getting Lego or Brutal Legend.
