That’s correct – I have about two weeks left in the challenge. Friday, January 23rd I leave to go to the UK for business, so Thursday January 22nd is the very last day of the challenge.
Eek.
In the last 7 days, I was amazingly actually quite productive, even though when I think back it doesn’t feel like it. I was busy with work for the most part, so gaming wasn’t my focus sadly. Let’s see what I did:
Gears of War 2: Well I had already beaten this, so all I had to do was work on achievements. I played online with Risto and Shaft and got up to level 20 on horde, and played offline a bunch too against the AI just to get achievements. I killed 30 enemies total with mortar for Shock and Awe, submitted a photo for Photojournalist, won all the training ground matches for Back to Basics, did every execution move for Kick ‘Em When They’re Down, and killed someone with every weapon for Variety is the Spice of Death. I also won on every map for Around the World, Again and killed 10 enemies with a grenade while I was down but not out, for A Parting Gift. This put me over the 500.
Saints Row 2: Finally started playing this again with Brando. We finished off the Brotherhood missions for Brother’s Keeper then got Separated at Birth for doing it in co-op. We also finished off Ultor missions for A Brighter Future, beating the game in the progress. Unfortunately, buggy piece of shit that the game is, it screwed us both out of Partners In Crime, for beating the whole game in co-op, which is worth 100. Still, I managed to get over the 500 for that, so can put that on the completed list.

Saints Row 2 - Finally got back to my game with Scots. Finished up The Brotherhood missions for Brother's Keeper (40G) and Seperated at Birth (25G) for doing it in co-op. We also got the epilogue done but I didn't get my achievement for that. Awesome game, but very buggy, unfortunately. It's a shame. I'll try and play the last level over again some other time.
Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 - Picked this up after Christmas. Definitely the best SvR game in a long time - probably since Here Comes The Pain, although I do remember liking 2006. so here's what I got: Congrats are in order (10G) for winning a match; Chris Jericho Story (20G), Undertaker Story (20G), Cena Story (20G) and Triple H Story (40G) for completing their modes; beat Kane in an Inferno match to unlock Smokin' (10G); won a match with a created finisher for Create A Finisher (10G); 5 Stars for having a 5 star match in career mode; Unstoppable (60G) for getting 6 abilities in career mode. 260G total. Still have to play the Rey/Batista story as BIG DAVE.
Call of Duty: World at War - Got this for Chtistmas... Haven't played it much, just got Saved Private Ryan (10G).

No update last week due to being insanely sick the week after Christmas and barely touching my 360 but I got back to it once Gears of War 2 arrived at my house on New Years Eve. I'm also still playing a shitload of Rainbow Six Vegas 2 which, while awesome, doesn't really help me here since I'm well over 500G.
NHL 08 - Almost a year to the date I bought this I finally hit the 500G mark picking up the Goalies Nightmare achievement for scoring 70 goals in a season with a player (Matthew Lombardi!) netting me a cool 50G. I honestly didn't think I'd ever hit 500 on this game unless one of my friends bought it to get all the online achievements so this was a nice one to get especially since this is easily my most played game.
Gears of War 2 - As I said I got this on New Years Eve and have been playing it a fair bit but pretty much exclusively online. I'm about half way through the storyline in co-op on Hardcore difficulty so once we finish that (possibly by the end of the weekend) I'll easily be at 500 here. We also finished Wave 50 on Horde (we being me and a buddy of mine, not me, Scots and Risto who got slaughtered for an hour and a half on Wave 20). Anyway, with all the story stuff, using all the weapons and finishing Wave 50 on Horde I'm up to 325G after just over a week of playing. Awesome, awesome fucking game. I look forward to getting annihilated on Insane difficulty once we're through Hardcore as well.
Most of what remains on my "Still to do" list is pretty much impossible to hit 500G. Some of them I'll probably hit 500 at some point this year on but a couple of them, especially Forza 2, are never going to happen. The amount of time necessary to even get another achievement in Forza is ridiculous let alone how long it would surely take to get to 500. Tucho, you're over 700G from what I can remember. How much time did you put in to get there? I'd put me somewhere in the 30 hour range on it so I can't even fathom how long you must've played for.
