I haven't been there in years. Remember liking cheesy gordita crunch, double decker taco, doritos tacos. Chili cheese burritos too but they haven't existed for like 15 years.

Before the beard and at a time in my life where I could still just about get away with saying I was in my early 30s. A young-ish n00b went to Taco Bell near midnight to grab some food after a long day of driving and trawling Colorado Blvd for a motel.

I cant remember exactly how many Tacos I ordered (a lot) but I do know that I ate half of Mrs n00b's on the way back to the room without telling her. Then made her pay half.

She's now one of the few people I know who think the UK Taco Bell is quite cheap.

An older, wiser and more seasoned n00b ventures North on the August Bank Holiday weekend to visit friends and more specifically to attend their kid's christening on the Sunday.

The Saturday afternoon involves going out for a few beers. Things turn into a somewhat blurry pub crawl and the evening ends with me going to the shop to buy a pack of Guinness (never, ever a good sign).

Following morning the christening does not go well. I felt like absolute shit and looked it too. As soon as the service is over I make my excuses and proceed on a nightmarish drive through the city centre, down Eccleshall Road and proceed to the Taco Bell for a burrito.

The drive back featured a brief layover where there was considerable throwing up. Did the trick, mind.

Made it back to the bar they'd hired in the afternoon for wetting the babbi's 'ed and sank a few pints of Estrella like a champ.

No assblasts fortunately but it was a fine - if massively unhealthy and borderline dangerous - cure for a hangover.

Just give me all the bacon and eggs you have. Wait, wait. I worry that what you just heard was "Give me a lot of bacon and eggs." What I said was, "Give me all the bacon and eggs you have." Do you understand?

A young, naive, n00bish n00b embarks on a foolhardy 2 week solo expedition to California with only the first night’s hotel booked, a few days worth of clothes, a credit card, a couple of phone numbers for people he knew online out there and around $3k in cash awkwardly folded up in his wallet.

After a few days of bouncing around (failing to get tickets to RAW in San Jose, attending a pig race at a County Fair, spending a few hundred dollars on a 50 mile limousine ride from San Francisco, etc) I ended up in a budget hotel in a dodgy part of town. Fortunately there were fast food places everywhere (Murica) and one of them was the fabled Taco Bell which I knew of only thanks to Demolition Man.

I ended up pretty much living off Taco Bell, a few burgers, Mountain Dew and Jelly Belly beans. There were some legit ASSBLASTS that clogged the toilet on an almost daily basis and thus starting my 16 year on/off feud with American plumbing. I felt so sorry for the housecleaners that I both A: Avoided all contact with them through shame and B: Left around $250 as a tip before checking out.

I went home around 15lbs lighter and quite possibly suffering from malnutrition. Didn't have a Taco Bell again until 2013.

I'm all done now. Got no more Taco Bell memories. Go make some new ones for yourself and tell us about them, young man.
