Office space is expensive in Miami. It's a converted pool house.

My 598SE are in my backpack, but my wireless set is on my home office desk and I didn't shutter my windows because someone royally fucked up the outside of the house with window bars and shitty fake rocks. My usual contractor dropped the shutter on my head yesterday trying to get one of those old drop shutters my wife and I have on our side of the house over these giant bars that cover our bedroom window.

Miami sounds like a friendly, crime free place to live.

For the floating dispenser. My dad buys them in bulk and he put the bucket in my office and it'll be bad for a while.

It is for me, but the wife and I have been talking lately about a move to either Lakeland or one of the surrounding areas such as Orlando. Her cousin and my dad's cousin both live there so it's not like we won't have family there.

I'm not going to die thankfully, but I do fear losing power. I have like 30 pounds of chicken in my freezer that I don't want to spoil. Plus, the power grid here at my parents isn't great. Over the past decade the number of large houses has exploded but the power grid remains the same. I can go without the AC for a while since I had to do it in Iowa a few times, but not having hot water is awful. A cool shower is nice, cold water sucks.

The wind and rain picked up a lot. If the power goes out I'll post from my phone.

I've been looking at backup generators for my house and my parents. For my house it would cost about 5k and for them it'd be closer to 30. If there was such a thing as a solar powered RV I'd be living in that.

Talking to my parents, they actually redid the grid around here BECAUSE of the big houses. Apparently that's why growing up there were blackouts all the time. So hopefully they built it up to beyond the current code. My aunt who lives less than 20 minutes from here apparently lost power at around 1 so I'm remaining optimistic and about to start drinking.

There are about 100 thousand people in the tri-county area without power so far. The affluent suburb of Pinecrest apparently doesn't have power still. My wife called our neighbor and says that we still have power and it's just wind and rain so far.

Just give me all the bacon and eggs you have. Wait, wait. I worry that what you just heard was "Give me a lot of bacon and eggs." What I said was, "Give me all the bacon and eggs you have." Do you understand?

Confirmed dead. Went to wash the chalk off his hands after some epic lifting and forgot about the new power grid that had been installed.

    Footage from his wife's Snapchat:
