They need to get Jinder to India in December for some incredible scenes. This doesn't kill a championship contender dead during the time til we get there.

Reports are subscription numbers are down in India since Jinder became champ.

There's over 1bn people in India and they aren't all poor. Even if only 30% can afford the network that's more people than the USA.

I think there was a divorce case in India where the woman had a wedding annulled by the courts because the husband refused to build a shitter in the house as promised.

30 is being generous. The vast majority is dirt fucking poor.

gini index icreasing as the population booms.

However, coca cola entered india some years ago with a marketing strategy of a strategic alliance with the soda that already had market share.

Wwe is formally entering a country with a strategic alliance of sorts (jinder as champ) in efforts to ingratiate themselves to the culture. Where the kids are dirt poor NOW, when they become contributing members of society in 10 years...

...At 1% its 13million (potential) subs

Subs are under 2million globally, correct?

One thing I don't get is why some smarks are so obsessed with who is champ. I remember just a year ago when the 2 champs were f'n AJ Styles and Kevin Owens for their respective brands... (Hell, back in early 2012, Punk and Daniel Bryan were the 2 fucking world champs). And barely a peep was made about them, and they just kept saying that the product sucks regardless (Aka, in 2012, all the bitching during the Elimination Chamber PPV was about Cena vs Kane going on last for example). Now a guy they don't like is champ, and they act like it's the one and only thing that matters. On top of that, Jinder is usually in Midcard programs while their darling K.O. main evented the last PPV.

Why does it matter so much? Anyway, ranting over, I just find it hilarious that the most important thing for them changes based on the scenario that allows them to complain about the product.

In Jinders case, i feel that people are more invested with him as champ for a couple of reasons.

    1. Legit curiousity: smarks have no clue when he is droppin the belt. Thats gonna turn cynical smart wrestling fans cuz they're trolls by nature.

    2. SDs title picture: is in complete disarray.

    3. With jinder, people see the india deal and wanna show off their wrestling acumen by citing... That being said, most smarks just say "its india... Its a billion people... Math!!!" Its hilarious to me because this big shift in smarks speaking business to dictate wrestling is... Kinda my thing. Lol

Isn’t the thing with Jinder he’s gone from 1 to 10 without any build? So the business part makes sense but the mark part is terrible (unless you’re TTG, defender of everything).

Also with India there are 183m households with tv right now. It’s gone from 49% to 67% in a decade and is now more households than the entire US. It’s a decision for now not just the future growth.

Having the audacity to not hate Shane because "OMG NOT A FULL TIME RASSLER" = "Defending everything"?

If it helps, there was absolutely zero to like about the House of Horrors match, and indeed, the Jinder thing came out of absolutely nowhere.

Its a decision for now to make the jindian population aware* of wwe programming.

Households with wiring for t.v. has gone up in a decade but those adults still have to provide. They are working to live. Many don't have the luxury to plop down and watch wwe programming.

    Their children do.
However, those children don't have the luxury of actually purchasing anything wwe. (Strange concept; a developing country not having disposable income?)

So i feel that along with the increase of tv in india rises, the young population gets hooked to the product... They grow and fall out of it.

Ffwd 8-10 yrs those jindian kids start making money to spend and they come back to wrestling (like how USA kids during rock n wrestling came back as attitude era teens to the product.)

Hopefully that fleshes out what im trying to get at.

You said you didn’t get why ppl were upset about jinder. Now after I explained the obvious it’s one of the two things you don’t defend. Lol

I agree I’m just saying you underestimate the current potential. The market is there now, as well as the enormous growth potential. Of the 183m homes with tv about 60/65% have cable from what I’ve just googled, so that’s 120m homes with some discretionary funds. That’s huge already.
